So often we search for those new and amazing things that we can do that makes the most of our time and energy. The growing popularity of day trips has lead us to really search outside the box and find things that were right in front of us that we didn’t realize was there. One of our favorite hikes is the Fiery Gizzard Trail located in the South Cumberland Tennessee State Park. The Fiery Gizzard Trail is a 12.5 mile long one-way trail which hikers can observe nature, swim in Fiery Gizzard Creek, see remarkable rock formations, flowing streams, waterfalls, rocky gorges, panoramic overlooks and lush woodlands. If you don’t have to make it a day trip and want to enjoy the area longer pack enough for a great camping experience.
